Dog-friendly hotel in Brussels: a night at Juliana with Celine

Five stars, four paws and one travel bag.

Celine was welcome in the room, the lounge and at breakfast at this five-star hotel on Place des Martyrs. This is our stay, plus what to arrange before you go.

01 / Our stay

The room, the lounge and breakfast together.

Arrival.

Celine walked across the cobblestones to the front door herself. Then: the hall, the lift and a room overlooking Place des Martyrs. You can see it in our short film.

The room.

Celine lay on the bed in her burgundy jumper, as you can see in our room photo. No dog bed had been set out for her and there were no food or water bowls in the room, so a familiar blanket or bed and her own bowls are worth bringing. Our short room film below shows the rest of the room.

The lounge.

The blue velvet sofa became one of Celine’s favourite resting spots. Our photos show how she paused there with us between the hotel and the city.

Breakfast.

We had breakfast indoors. Celine sat in her bag on the sofa beside us, so she could be part of it while we ate. The photo below shows her spot at the table.

02 / From the hotel into the city

Brussels.
With your dog.

From the hotel we walked to the Grand-Place, the Royal Galleries and Manneken Pis. Celine came along in her travel bag: past a chocolate shop and onto a sunny terrace. The Atomium is outside the centre, so we made that a separate outing. At shops and terraces, simply ask whether your dog is welcome.

Through Brussels with Celine, from the Grand-Place to a chocolate along the way.

Before you book

What to arrange before staying with your dog.

  1. Register your dog in advance. We registered Celine when we booked. Mention your dog as soon as you make your reservation and ask the hotel to confirm the arrangements for your stay.
  2. Room category. Ask whether dogs are allowed in the room type you want and whether there are limits on size or number of dogs.
  3. Fee and extras. We paid a €45 dog fee for our entire stay. There was no dog bed in the room and no food or water bowls for Celine, so bring a familiar bed or blanket and food and water bowls.
  4. Alone in the room. We did not confirm the general policy on leaving a dog alone in the room. Agree this in advance if you want to dine or visit the spa without your dog.
  5. Walks. For a walk through the centre, combine Place des Martyrs with the Royal Galleries of Saint-Hubert and the Grand-Place. Keep it a short route with breaks.

Frequently asked questions about Juliana with a dog

Is Juliana dog-friendly?

We were allowed to bring Celine to the room, the lounge and breakfast. We registered her when booking and paid a €45 dog fee for the whole stay. At breakfast, Celine sat indoors in her bag on the sofa. Confirm the conditions for your own dog and room type with the hotel.

How much does a dog cost at Juliana?

We paid €45 for the whole stay in October 2026. That was our experience; ask the hotel to confirm the price for your own booking.

Can my dog come to the restaurant and bar?

Celine was with us in the lounge and at breakfast. We did not separately confirm access to the restaurant or bar; our experience in the lounge is not general permission.

Where can I walk my dog near Juliana?

For a walk through the centre, combine Place des Martyrs with the Royal Galleries of Saint-Hubert and the Grand-Place. Keep it a short route with breaks.

Should I bring my own dog bed and bowls to Juliana?

Yes, we recommend it. There was no dog bed in our room and no food or water bowls. A familiar blanket or bed and your own bowls make the room feel like home for your dog straight away.
